This 1969 Cadillac Eldorado came to us in relatively good shape for a frame-up restoration. This group of 6 photos shows previous damage to the bumper and fender, the engine and the beginning of the car's disassembly.
This group of 6 photos shows the continuing disassembly. The rear bumper is removed and sent out for straightening & re-plating. The vinyl top is carefully removed so delicate aluminum trim isn't damaged. The rotted portion of the front fender is removed and a new section of the front fender is fabricated and welded repairing the damage to the front fender. The last photo bottom right shows holes and a crease in the original fender that should not be there.
The photos left and right show the holes welded, the crease gone and the panel has been metal finished. The photo bottom left shows the disassembly of the engine compartment. The middle 2 photos show the holes rotted through the roof that were hidden by the vinyl top. The photo bottom right shows the rotted windshield post.
